PPR’s Music Listening Club

Our next meeting will be on Thursday, June 28th at 7:00pm.  The theme is Songs with uncommon instruments, such as bagpipes, Sitars, Xylaphones, steel drums, etc….

Designed to be fun and engaging, PPR’s Listening Club is an opportunity for anyone to listen to, and then join in an informal discussion of various forms of music. No musical background is necessary. We’ll discuss what makes the music great! We will talk about new music, old music, and everything in between.

The format will consist of each participant choosing several songs with a musical link; for example, biting lyrics, music heavy on violin, driving songs or songs that make you smile.  After the half hour, we discuss what we like and what we don’t and why, or just move on and listen to something else. Snacks will be provided.

Just show up at the studio with or without your own music.

For more information contact: info@pawlingpublicradio.org or call the studio and leave a message at 845-493-0355.
