The Pawling Public Radio Internship Program was started last year. The program was so successful that continuing it in 2012 was only natural. This year PPR’s Internship Program has three new interns; Katherine Santeramo, Christian Paulmann, and Michael Tomkowid. Each is in college and has a reason for becoming an intern at Pawling Public Radio.
Katherine Santeramo went to Pawling High School and graduated June 22nd 2012. She was one of the winners of PPR’s writing contest for students in grades 7 through 12. She will be attending Western Connecticut State University, seeking a degree in liberal arts. Katherine became an intern because she likes to write and was interested in getting experience. This summer she hopes to strengthen her writing skills and learn more about the community.
Christian Paulmann went to Kennedy Catholic School in Somers and graduated June 2011. He is attending Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania, seeking a degree in digital broadcast. He applied to the internship program because he likes to make videos and was interested in getting experience.
Finally, Michael Tomkowid graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie, June 2007. He is attending SUNY Plattsburgh and will graduate with a degree in audio/radio communications. He became an intern to strengthen his experience in radio. Michael hopes to utilize his experience at PPR in the workplace.
Welcome, PPR Interns of 2012!
