Pawling’s Gallery on the Green Presents: Light and Land, Photography by Robert Rodriguez, Jr.

October 5, 2012
By

Gallery on the Green announces its October exhibition of works by noted photographer Robert Rodriguez, Jr. will run through November 10th.

Trained as a musician, Robert was a music producer before transitioning to landscape photography. With visual story telling, he discovered the potential to express a more creative and personal vision.

“I love to make photographs for a simple reason – to help others come closer to the wonder and beauty of nature, one moment at a time.”

Focusing on the Hudson Valley allowed Robert to discover not only beautiful landscapes often taken for granted, but the changing mood and character of the region. Seeking to capture the beauty, or convey the emotional qualities of a place or moment in nature, his images have elicited responses ranging from evocative, to spiritual and breathtaking. Robert is passionate about conservation and the importance of protecting our natural resources for both current and future generations.

As a Canson Infinity ambassador, a select group of hand-picked international artists that uphold and exemplify the Canson heritage of paper making since 1557, he takes pride in a hands-on approach to creating his expressive prints, working on every stage, from the initial exposure and processing, to printing and framing. His photography has been published in numerous publications including the New York Times, and is used by many non-profit organizations including Scenic Hudson, and the Mohonk Preserve. His fine art prints have been collected by both private and corporate clients worldwide.

Gallery on the Green represents contemporary artists whose works range from representational to abstract. From painting to drawing, from sculpture to mixed media, it exhibits innovative artists who share a high standard of excellence and artistic judgment and is taking the lead in helping Eastern Dutchess County establish a major presence in the Tri-State arts scene.

The Gallery on the Green is located at 7 Arch Street in Pawling. Hours are Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 5pm and always by appointment. To arrange an appointment contact Michelle Farnum-Morales at 845.855.5642.
