SUMMER HAPPENINGS AT THE PATTERSON LIBRARY
Don’t sit home this summer! The Patterson Library has many wonderful programs and special events to keep you busy all summer long. On Wednesday, August 22, from 10 to 5 pm, the library will host a Plein Air event where area artists are invited to bring their paints & easels and create original works of art in our beautiful park, while the public is invited to come watch the artists at work. Artists 16 and older may register to participate on our website. On Thursday, August 23 at 6 PM, it’s a night of Party Dancing as instructors teach you all the great party dance moves, so you can be on the dance floor at your next fun event. Adults and teens 16 and over, may register for this program. Come meet your neighbors and friends at Thursdays in the Park starting July 5th and running through August 23, from 12:30 – 2:30 PM. Bring a picnic lunch, play our fun lawn games or just drop by to meet new people and enjoy the sunshine and the outdoors. To register for these and other great programs for adults, teens and kids, visit our website at www.pattersonlibrary.org or call 845-878-6121 ext. 10. In case of inclement weather, the Summer Concert and the Party Dancing will move to the Patterson Rec Center on Front Street. Children must be accompanied by an adult and all park rules must be followed. The Summer Concert and Plein Air event are funded in part by Putnam Arts Council’s Arts Link Grant.
