The Lab will also include Mr. Simon’s special technique of using on camera work with Shakespeare work as well as voice, diction, movement and improvisation. Guest professionals associated with Mr. Simon’s current and past work will also participate.
Roger Hendricks Simon has directed and taught at his SIMON STUDIO since 1978 and elsewhere in NYC, L.A., London and throughout Europe, India, Pakistan, Iran, Nigeria and South Africa. A graduate of Yale School of Drama and founding member of Robert Brustein’s Yale Rep Co., he was elected to Notable Names in American Theatre and has directed and acted for Yale Rep, Joseph Papp’s NY Shakespeare Festival, London’s Royal Court Theatre, Dublin’s Abbey Theatre, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Folger Shakespeare, Great Lakes Shakespeare Festival, Lincoln Center, BAM, the Roundabout Theatre, L.A. Classical Theatre Lab (Founding Artistic Director).
He has directed/coached James Earl Jones, John Lithgow, John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson James Woods, Tovah Feldshuh and Bibi Anderson among others.
