2014 is the 45th anniversary of the Woodstock Music Festival, and on June 28, one of Music By The Lake’s most popular performers, “Back To The Garden 1969”, returns to help celebrate the occasion. If you have attended any of their previous shows, you already know that this is a top notch band of talented musicians. An experience not to be missed – rain and mud optional!
On July 12, the band “HOTROD” returns to Music By The Lake to take you on a musical journey from the 60’s through the 90’s, performing many of your favorite classic songs – and a few you might not expect. This seasoned band of musicians has appeared at Music By The Lake in the past and always provides a great show.
On July 26, guitarist extraordinaire Pete Hopkinson brings his talented band, “Petey Hop and the Jackrabbits” back to Music By The Lake for their second appearance. Their high energy mix of rockin’ roots, blues, jump blues, and old school country music was a real crowd pleaser last year and we are happy to welcome them back again this summer.
Finally, on August 16, “The Greyhounds” make their first appearance at Music By The Lake. This entertaining group of musicians will take you back in time with their repertoire of driving rockabilly, R&B, roots rock, and – yes – even surf instrumentals. You’ll be tapping your feet and bobbing your head to their good-time music.
Admission to all concerts is FREE! The concerts will take place on Saturday nights from 6 to 8pm at Lakeside Park. Concerts will be held rain or shine – if the weather is bad, concerts will be held indoors in the Lathrop building at Lakeside Park.
So bring your picnic baskets, blankets and folding chairs and enjoy great performances at “Music By The Lake 2014”!
