Pawling Shakespeare Club recently celebrated its 113th Anniversary at a festive luncheon held at Le Fontane Restaurant, Katonah. Following a Pre-Luncheon Concert of Elizabethan Music performed by John Fiscella, Acoustic Guitar, Steve Chetcuti, Flautist and Rita Schaffer, Vocalist. Marie DiLorenzo, President, welcomed members and guests and introduced Forbes Linkhorn, Vice President to display the club’s new banner which he created for the group; Members, Susan Stone recited many famous Shakespearean Quotes found on a keepsake poster from her recent trip to London; Sandra Duffy gave a special Toast in honor of Queen Elizabeth II. Following the luncheon, Cliff Carpenter delighted all with an entertaining recitation of a passage from Shakespeare “ …Be not a borrower or a lender be….” Pawling Shakespeare Club will reconvene in the Fall, 2012 and continue through June, 2013 with two new study sessions and other events to be announced.
