Are you looking for something fun for your children to do this August? Are you worried about your child losing academic skills over the summer?
The ACEkids! Program is offering two fun summer programs at Pawling Elementary School this August that will have your kids creating, playing, imagining and brushing up on all those academic skills.
The ACEkids! Summer Enrichment program for children entering grades K-4, will give children the chance to create art, perform on stage, build with legos, and refresh their academic skills with targeted games and other fun activities led by a New York State certified academic teacher. The program will be taught by the same professional staff from the ACEkids! after-school programs, including program director Dolores Ragsdale, and teachers Karen Roff, Bob Reilly, and Amy Emke. The program will run weekdays from August 6 through August 24 from 9 a.m to 3 p.m.
The ACEkids! Summer Theatre Program for students entering grades K-8 will also be offered. Led by Amy Emke, this program will offer Acting, Musical Theatre, Technical Theatre, and a daily academic enrichment class with a certified academic teacher to brush up academic skills to get ready for the school year. The program will run weekdays from August 13 through August 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and there will be a performance by the students on the last day of the program.
Before and after care are also available for both programs from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Students must be enrolled by July 23 to participate in these programs. For more information or to register your child, please call Dolores Ragsdale at (845) 855-2162 or visit www.pawlingcommunityservices.org.
