The Pawling Library has announced the departure of longtime Children’s Program Coordinator and friend, Karen DeGennaro.
The library is grateful for Ms. Karen’s dedication to her library family, and to the families she has served the last nine years. Under her guidance, children’s programming has grown by leaps and bounds, and thanks to Ms. Karen, The Pawling Library’s youngest patrons have gained a strong foundation in early literacy.
Since 2010, Ms. Karen has been steadily growing the library’s Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) programming with innovative classes encouraging youngsters to explore, tinker, and be curious about the world in which they live. With the solid foundation Ms. Karen has brought to the library’s children’s programming, The Pawling Library will continue and build upon these inventive, cutting edge classes.
The Pawling Library has actively begun the search for their next Children’s Program Coordinator who will take educational offerings for children, ages birth through grade four, to new and exciting places. The Children’s Program, having been built upon the strong foundation created by Ms. Karen’s leadership, will continue to provide the most up to date curriculum for the children in our community.
