Susan Stone, Chair of the PPR Education Committee and producer of the upcoming community concert with Peter Yarrow on April 3, was able to interview Mr. Yarrow by phone from the PPR studio at 26 East Main Street. In a twenty minute conversation, Yarrow spoke at length about his not- for- profit, anti-bullying organization, Operation Respect. He expressed the need to create caring and respectful communities by eliminating harassment and encouraging kindness among our children.
Speaking about the value of the arts in school curricula, and music, in particular, Yarrow believes strongly that the musical component of the Operation Respect program brings children together in ways that other anti-bully programs do not.
