Kenny Boomer, Matt Bourne, and David Handler were students at Trinity-Pawling with similar tastes in music, which include a love for Jimi Hendrix and, plainly, rocking out. It was this connection, as well as opportunities on campus to jam together, that formed The Tide. They garnered attention at school with their performances at the school’s annual Rock Shows, the staple of their sets being Hendrix’s “The Wind Cries Mary.”
