Training dogs professionally was serendipitous. Marlene Payne had a dog with aggression issues and discovered one of the most respected trainers and breeders was living near her in Connecticut. During one of the training session, she got hooked. What John taught her is not written in any obedience books, but it worked like magic. That was over 20 years ago.
Marlene Payne went on to study Canine Behavior in his apprentice program and worked along side him until he passed away in 2008. She prepared dogs for World Class German Shepherd Dog competitions, raised and trained German Shepherd Dogs for clients, here and abroad. She was an instructor at Canine Country Club’s in their weekly Canine Behavior seminars and conducted private and group obedience classes. Currently, Marlene gives public presentations on a range of canine topics and conduct private and group dog management classes.
