Dr. Thornton was born and raised in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County in 1960. She graduated from Rhinebeck High School, started college in Pennsylvania training to run a medical lab—and realized, “I could reach further and be a doctor.” She transferred to NYU, graduated with a B.A. in biology, minor in history, then went on to medical school at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. She has two sons, now in their twenties, and is an avid hiking, music and skiing fan. Patrice is part of the NYU/Langone Village Medical Practice in Pawling where she has had the privilege of practicing with Dr. Michael Grill and their wonderful staff for over 15 years. She also writes and records a monthly article for PPR called “All Things Human”.
