When it comes to buying cameras, people always think they need to have the most expensive and most updated camera in order to take a decent picture.
In the long run, people are not going to be looking at your shinny equipment but the actual product it produces.
Today, photographers are exploring a new type of photography, lomophotography, also known as lo-fi photography. With this kind of photography you don’t look for high quality images. Most of the photos come out faded or filled with color. The great thing about lo-fi photography is that it’s unpredictable – just like film.
Although, as cool as lo-fi photography looks, the cost of film these days can be rather expensive. But there is a solution. For the past couple of months I’ve been hunting for a camera that would shoot just like a film lomo camera, and I finally came across the Zumi Mr.Clover.
On the outside it may look like some happy meal toy, but to my surprise the camera does actually take some pretty cool photos. This two-mega pixel camera may be small but it packs a punch. It has all of the little qualities of a lomo camera without the cost of film. The best part of this little toy is that it hold an SD card, but you can’t view any of your photos until you get home. Just one thing though, the battery does have a tendency to randomly shut off, but that’s just the personality of this little piece of plastic.
