A staple in the Pawling – Patterson community, Abruzzi Trattoria has a new owner!
The recent change of ownership took place between Eleanor Nurzia to Andreas Lazanas. Eleanor, who plans to focus on her other restaurant in Millerton, closer to her home, was pleased to turn over the reins to Andreas.
Andreas, who lives in Amenia, has been in the restaurant business for over 25 years. He went to culinary school in Greece and been here in the Hudson Valley working with his brother-in-law in their local Four Brothers Pizza Inns, which have 9 locations including Dover Plains, Amenia and Pleasant Valley as well as the Boathouse, in Lakeville, Connecticut.
The enthusiasm Andreas has is infectious and you can clearly see how excited he is to about Abruzzi’s…he is someone who clearly loves his job! He said “My focus is on service and being part of this community. I will be here 7 days a week to assure the best service, menu items and quality to Abruzzi’s customers and am looking forward to meeting everyone!”
Andreas plans to keep most of the menu items the same, and has added steaks as well as a few other items. Abruzzi’s is a great space for events, meetings and parties. The restaurant is open 7 days a week from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. They also have a great take out menu and will even deliver at lunchtime between 11:00 – 4:00!
Watch for the Grand Re-Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony coming this spring. In the meantime, Andreas and the Abruzzi staff invite you to stop in and say hello!
