On Sunday, December 7 the 4th Annual Interact Recognition Dinner was held in the Lathrop Building at Lakeside Park. This annual dinner recognizes the members of the Interact Club of Pawling for their accomplishments and achievements over the past year. 180 people made up of Interact members, families and guests attended this sit down dinner catered by Abruzzi Trattoria.
Guest speakers from the various organizations the club has worked with were invited to share in the clubs success. This year, we had representatives from Ryan’s Foundation, The Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley and Operation Christmas Child. Also joining us were a few family members and friends of the beloved Pawling Middle School Teacher, Ruth Rowe-Loev. In 2014, the club raised over $14,000 which was donated to these organizations as well as others.
At the end of the evening the official Induction took place. 21 new members were inducted into the club bringing the total to 57 members. The Pawling Rotary Club also presented the Interact Club with a check in the amount of $700 to support the Rotary mission of “doing good in the world”.
The Interact Club of Pawling Advisors (Melissa Smith, Robyn Woolley, John Ammaturo and Stephen Malone) would like the thank everyone for making the evening such a huge success: Supervisor David Kelly, Town of Pawling Board Members, Pawling Rotary President Dick Harshbarger, and Rotary District 7210 Governor Penny Byron. The Recreation Department would also like to thank the Town of Pawling Buildings and Grounds Department for their assistance in setting up the Lathrop Building.
