There is a new biz in town run by a dynamic professional named Lisa Salisbury. Her business provides integrated marketing strategy for large and small campaigns and utilizes a mix of media available such as mobile campaigns, print, and digital for optimal results. She offers creative services from concept to branding, and can run the gamut from design, art direction to advertisements, IPad applications, promotional film, editorial features, and annual reports. She can also provide art direction and signage for special events.
Her most recent projects were for Men’s Journal, Reader’s Digest, and SPIN Magazine. She provided creative direction, and design for a 30 page supplement that was bound in Men’s Journal. “The concept called for a ‘Gear Guide’ that would incorporate specific advertiser’s. Working with a copywriter, the concept of a day in the life of a ski patrol officer lent itself to a fun and informative story following Dana Flahr (our ski patrol officer).” Also for Men’s Journal,” I flew out to LA to interview Ricky Berens (Olympic swimmer) for a Eukenuba commercial. With my extensive network of top talent I was able to secure an awesome photographer/film maker, to shoot – and with luck use the pool at my hotel for the location on short notice.”
For Microsoft and SPIN Magazine Lisa created a series of lighthearted interviews with the performers at Coachella, a music festival held in Indio, CA. Created on a very tight budget,” in essence gorilla marketing,” these videos were produced for an email campaign created to bring readers to the SPIN website for festival news.” It was very successful.” For Reader’s Digest, Lisa has been providing editorial design for their feature stories. ” One of the most interesting for me was designing the Barack Obama and Mitt Romney interviews. Both interviews were the same length and the last spread on each would have a collage of pictures and quotes. I worked with the editor in coming up with what the theme of the collage would be. The challenge was in making both stories visually balanced.”
