Good Things in Small Packages…The Dutch Oven
Have you ever wondered where your next really good meal was coming from? Well, walk into the small storefront at 9 East Main Street, where Paul Rabin prepares his gourmet delights, and that question will be answered!! Dutch Oven, opened in March of 2009, and has been providing extraordinary “foods to take away” ever since.
Paul, the master chef/proprietor, has food prep in his genes, having learned his skillful cookery at the knee of his Aunt Pauline, the greatest cook, in his opinion. Food was always important in Paul’s family, so even though his formal education includes a degree in broadcasting from CW Post on Long Island, he returned to his cooking roots, holding positions in several restaurants before building a career as a private chef specializing in preparing delicious meals for those with special dietary needs. His talents would “let them feel unrestricted” in meal choices, taste, and quality, and he counted several celebrities among his clientele, including Tony Randall.
Paul can prepare fabulous meals that are gluten free, vegan, and sugar free. He can accommodate any food allergy, and is particularly creative with vegetarian dishes. His menus at Dutch Oven are varied and offer a great way to serve a wonderful meal without the fuss. Paul is also available for event catering and can provide culinary pleasure for gatherings both large and small.
So, if you haven’t as yet experienced the magical taste treats that come out the small shop on East Main, I heartily encourage you to do so. Stop by during the week and pick up a cup of homemade soup to go, along with one of Paul’s fabulous tasty rolls. Get a great side dish to add to your own meal at home, or settle on one of his mouth watering entrees of chicken, beef or fish. No matter what your choice, Paul’s food will not disappoint. You are sure to enjoy the great big taste treat that spills out of his tiny Dutch Oven.
