Dr. Robert G. Lieb, Pawling , opened The FROSTY NOGGIN in 2014, adjacent to his Chiropractic Office. And what fun it is! If you happen to be strolling along Colman Boulevard, you might be intrigued by a cheerful looking storefront entitled THE FROSTY NOGGIN, an enchantingly quaint and contemporary establishment inviting you to create your own Yogurt or Smoothie Fruit treat. Once you step inside the establishment , you will immediately become aware of the” The Fortress of Frogurt” , an attractive, sparkling blue-tiled wall dispenser system, complete with glistening spouts serving many delicious multi flavored frozen yogurt treats. You are invited to choose a cup or cone, fill with one or more froyo flavors (eg: Belgian Chocolate Gelato, Mango Sorbet, Fresh Coconut, Peanut Butter and Jelly, Pina Colada, Mint Chocolate Chip and more ). There are also 30 delicious toppings galore (Whipped Cream, gummy bears, granola, chocolate , caramel sauce and more. ) Smoothies are all fresh fruit. The “NOGGIN” serves coffee and tea as well. Enjoy all of your choices at the “NOGGIN’S” charming seating area and, if you wish, check out THE”NOGGIN’S” WIFI System .
Dr. Lieb, graduate of New York Chiropractic College, has been practicing his profession in the area for the past twelve years. According to Dr. Lieb, Yogurt and Smoothie Treats are healthy as well as delicious, prepared with all natural, no artificial flavors and 100% fruit. They are low fat, no fat, all gluten free and non- dairy. “The Frosty Noggin”, he said, “also holds Birthday and Special Parties” . Dr. Lieb customizes and decorates each cake with fruits and special toppings .
It was especially interesting to discuss how THE FROSTY NOGGIN came by its name: Dr. Lieb explained that “Noggin” is an ancient mug or head (smart and healthy thinking); “Frosty” means cool and refreshing; He felt they went well together. “The Fortress of Frogurt” was named for its icy-looking tile, kind of reminding him of an icy fortess from the Superman Fables.
In citing future plans, Dr, Lieb said he hopes that the “NOGGIN” will remain open through the Winter and will be serving some healthy, hot foods as well as presenting live music; he also is planning to create an afterschool program for children and a special rewards program for academic achievement.
A member of the Pawling Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Lieb organizes and directs” The Annual Tour De Dutchess Bike Ride” which raises funds for the Tourette Syndrome Association He also serves as a volunteer for local service organizations . Many thanks to Dr. Robert G. Lieb for founding THE FROSTY-NOGGIN, a delightfully favorite place for all in the Village of Pawling .
