Hence, the name “No Sweat Cooking Class.” If anyone is interested, by all means join us. Everyone there is friendly and entertaining!
Students go to Murder, Mayhem & Crime to learn about solving mysteries. They learned about blood spatters, fingerprinting and eye witness testimony. Sarah thinks, “It is interesting.” Next week we will solve a crime. Watch out criminals!
Fun Team gets ready for Carnival
The members of Fun Team have finished painting their rockets. They also decorated their rockets. They used sparkles, steamers, pom-poms, pipe cleaners and paint. They will be filled with candy. There will be games at the carnival too. Kids find the rockets and then get to eat the candy! The End!
Scientists create Candy Potions
Kids came to Kitchen Wizards and did experiments using candy. These are some of them: Candy Color Trails, Float the Un-floatable, Marshmallow Submarine, Floating Letters, Elephant Toothpaste, Pop Rocks Expander and the Exploding Bag experiment. They were fun-cool ideas and created a mess! Lili and Sarah thought it was fun. “The best part was eating all of the leftover candy,” everyone said!
It’s fun to study Crime!
Kids came to Murder, Mayhem & Crime to learn how to solve mysteries. Ms. Mac talked about witness testimony. In the middle of it a man came running into the room and yelled, “That’s crazy! I don’t believe it! That’s crazy!”
The kids were surprised. Ms. Mac said write down what he said and looked like. Everyone had different answers. Eyewitnesses do not give the best evidence! Next week they will solve a crime.
The Crazy Carnival!
The carnival takes place in town near the train station. There are new rides and new games. During the first night it was packed. Some original rides were there too, like Remix, Round Off and the Scrambler. There were still little kids rides too. Sarah said, “I had a great time.” The carnival runs through Saturday. On the last day there were fireworks. There was also a parade. Everyone enjoys this annual event.
