If you were among the many community members at the Pawling Firehouse Saturday, November 17, then you had the best time ever!
DJ Joey Daytona kept everyone on their feet dancing the night away. Prizes were given for the best couple who danced the Lindy (The Ed Grippe’s), Best Costumes, and Most Delish Appetizer ( brought by Danielle Gentile.) Prizes were donated by Pawling Community businesses, as well as all of the wonderful silent auction items, which were feverishly bid on by the dancing revelers.
Those in attendance were able to take advantage of PPR’s Fabulous 50’s Foto Op, and the Pawling Public Radio Ice Cream Parlour with frozen confections donated by Heinchons Dairy. If you were there, you would have been able to dedicate your favorite song to your favorite honey, and when the munchies hit, delicious food was available to help restore your energy for another round of dancing. But, if that wasn’t enough, you could have gobbled up the amazing centerpieces at each table, filled with retro candy popular in the 40’s or 50’, or 60’s and beyond! In fact, the whole party room venue at the Fire House was so festively decorated, that there was no question that there was a major party going on. The whole event was a wonderful post Sandy/pre-holiday celebration, raising money for PPR’s many community outreach programs and future equipment needs.
PPR thanks everyone for their support!
Stay tuned for PPR’s next major fundraiser on February 26, 2013, When Peter, Paul and Mary’s Peter Yarrow performs in concert!
