On Friday, May 15, Pawling Rotary Celebrated its 75th year of service to the Pawling Community at the Quaker Hill Country Club. The All Day event began with their annual Golf Outing, as 49 golfers spent the day on the Country Clubs award winning course. This event was immediately followed at 6 p.m. with 75 guests enjoying food and drink into the evening.
A silent auction of 14 gift baskets, designed and provided by the Boy and Girl Scout Troops of Pawling enhanced the fun. All proceeds supported the Scout Cabin at the Smith Johnson Scout Reservation.
A short presentation at 8 p.m. included words of welcome by current Rotary President Dick Harshbarger, a brief history of the club presented by Carl Dill, and congratulations offered by Penny Byron, Rotary District Governor, and Rob Liffland, Pawling Mayor.
Cake and coffee capped off the evening.
