Pawling Public Radio’s Education Committee is pleased to announce the winners of our annual student writing contest. The winner of the 7th Grade category is Michaela Lenskis-Kristian, and the winner of the 8th Grade category is Brigid Barrick. Both students attend Mizzentop Day School in Pawling.
For this year’s contest, students were asked to write a script for a public service announcement that will educate and inform the public. The P.S.A. could be drawn from one of these three topics: bullying, internet safety, or distracted driving. Both of the winning students chose distracted driving as their topic.
In addition to award certificates and some awesome PPR swag, the winners will have the opportunity to work with our engineering staff to produce their scripts for broadcast on WPWL.
