Hikers and Visitors coming to the Welcome Center in Pawling Village have a new place to connect to the internet. The Pawling Chamber of Commerce is providing this new, open WiFi hotspot free to all visitors.
Visitors with WiFi equipped smartphones and such will be able to use the “Pawling Welcome Center” WiFi network to connect with full internet access.
This is a great resource for hikers passing through on the Appalachian Trail who will be able to check their email for messages from home and send updates back.
The Welcome Center joins other public hotspots in Pawling, including one at the Pawling Library across from the Post Office, and another at Pawling Trading Company on East Main. There are also some Comcast hotspots around town but you need to be a cable customer to use those.
No network IDs are required to use the Welcome Center hotspot; just set your phone, tablet, or laptop to “Pawling Welcome Center” network, and away you go!
